Support and F.A.Q. / F.A.Q.
Q: What happens if my Security Device has been stolen or lost?
A: In the event that your Security Device is stolen or lost, the chances that it can maliciously used to masquerade as you are minimal. The EnigmaKey solution is a two factor login solution wherein two methods are used to authenticate, the device and a password to unlock it. Since the attacker does not have knowledge of your password to unlock the device, it cannot be used.
In the event the device is lost or stolen you would have to call your provider, identify your self (like you would if you lost your credit/debit card), and the provider will provide instructions for activating a new device.
Q: I forgot my Security Device Password
A: Similar to losing a Security Device, you would have to call your provider that will set you up as you have lost it. You would either have to use a different device or delete the EnigmaKey file on your existing Security Device.
Q: After I set up my device to be a Security Device, can I still use it in the same way I used it before?
A: YES, your device will be functional exactly like it was before, whether it is memory stick, MP3 player, digital camera, GPS, cell phone or any other device. In fact, the EnigmaKey requires so small memory space that its effect on the overall volume is negligible.
Q: What happens if I left the Security Device in my computer and left the place?
A: The Security Device has a timeout after which it will be locked again and can not be used unless you unlock it using your password. Similar to a computer that was left for some time and needs a password to login in again, so does the Security Device that needs a password to unlock. This prevent uncalled use when you are away from your desk and forgot you key connected to you computer.
Q: Can I use my computer as a Security Device
A: Yes you can. However, you have to be aware that you will be able to login to your secured websites strictly from this specific computer.
