EnigmaKey technology is PKI based, two factor mutual authentication that provides unparalleled online security levels by using challenge and response exchanges generated by software and hardware. The technology is based common hardware people already possess and, thus, the entry threshold is low and simple. Any common device that contains non-volatile memory and communicates with the computer, such as a USB drive, cell phone, MP3 player, or digital camera can easily be converted into a security device via a quick and straightforward enrolment process. The login process is based on something the user knows (security device password) and something the user has (security device). EnigmaKey significantly simplifies the user’s login process by requiring only one user-supplied password to unlock the security device. Once the user has unlocked his/her personal security device, any enrolled website can be accessed seamlessly with no additional passwords required. The login process becomes hassle-free with no need to memorize multiple combinations of usernames and passwords. The very same device with the very same password is used to login to all the enrolled vendors’ websites; thus, the user needs to memorize only one single password. EnigmaKey subscribers are well protected against “Phishing” and “Pharming”. Access control is based on responses generated by the security device rather than by answers provided by the user.
